Tang Teaching Museum announces annual Make-a-Turkey-Out-of-a-Potato Extravaganza, November 21, 2015

The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College is now taking reservations for its annual Make-a-Turkey-Out-of-a-Potato Extravaganza, which will be from 2 to 3:30 pm on Saturday, November 21, 2015.  Children ages 5 and older, accompanied by their adult companion, are invited to make holiday centerpieces out of potatoes, pipe-cleaners, feathers, and beads. Create a fantastic bird sculpture to decorate your table! 

The program runs from 2 to 3:30 pm and is free and open to the public. Reservations are required. For additional information and reservations, call the Tang’s Visitor Service Desk at 518-580-8080.  This program is part of the Tang's Family Saturdays, which continue on Dec. 5, 12 and 19. ABOUT THE TANG TEACHING MUSEUM 
The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College is a pioneer of interdisciplinary exploration and learning for art lovers of all ages. The museum is open from Noon to 5 pm Tuesdays through Sundays, with extended hours until 9 pm on Thursdays during Skidmore's academic year. In addition to family programs like Family Saturdays, the Tang offers tours to groups from schools, colleges, churches, businesses, and other community groups.
