This weekend in Saratoga offers an intimate theater experience with Home Made Theater’s final performances of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”, Opera Saratoga's Opera-to-Go for an up close and personal experience, fun for everyone with the Family Saturday Program at The Tang, and find everything you need to know about home décor and building tips during the Saratoga Springs Rotary Home & Lifestyle Show.

Friday, February 26 - 5 PM to 9 PM
Saturday, February 27 - 9 AM to 7 PM
Sunday, February 28 - 10 AM to 4 PM

Featuring 120 regional exhibitors showcasing home improvement services, décor and furnishings, energy-saving products, outdoor living and landscaping, family recreation, and lifestyle products and services. The show offers great door prizes. New for 2016 is free admission for all ages! Special activities during the weekend include an Art Show (all weekend), a Cooking demonstrations by Chef Alysha Perez of Forno Bistro at Noon, 1 PM, and 2 PM on Saturday, a Pet adoption clinic with H.O.P.E., 3:30-6:30 PM on Saturday, and Sunday from 12-3 PM balloon artist and face painting for kids.

The Home & Lifestyle Art Show has expanded to fill the entire second floor of the City Center. That’s 5,000 square feet of woodworking, ceramics, acrylics, watercolors, oils and mixed media. There will also be attractive handcrafted jewelry and stunning custom plant arrangements. Lakeland Winery and Adirondack Distillery round out the space with local wine and spirits. Don’t miss the display of work by art students from Saratoga Springs High School. These entrants are considering art as a career, and you’ll be impressed by their talent.

This Pulitzer Prize winner is an explosive portrait of a southern family, celebrating “Big Daddy’s” 65th birthday. As the conniving relatives learn he’s dying, verbal fireworks and savage humor erupt. Fiery Maggie fights to maintain the facade of her marriage to Brick, a former gridiron hero, who drinks to escape her and his controlling father. The eldest son and daughter-in-law plot to secure their place in the will. In a maze of avarice, hypocrisy and hidden desire, truths are revealed and souls laid bare.

Opera-To-Go, Operation Superpower!
Saratoga Arts - Dee Sarno Theater

Operation Superpower is a fun and interactive original program that delivers a powerful message and inspires students to discover their own superpowers and to follow their dreams! Operation Superpower takes a stand against bullying by promoting the five essential elements of being a superhero: courage, hope, honesty, imagination and friendship. Free performance.

Family Saturday Program
The Tang Teaching Museum, Skidmore College
February 27 – 2PM

Bean and Seed Mosaic Mandalas:  We will explore Alma Thomas’s circular paintings as well as examples of Mandalas from different cultures, then make circular mosaics using dried beans and other materials – a little bit of glitz – inside CD cases as a frame. The program runs from 2:00-3:30 pm and is suitable for children ages 5 and older, accompanied by their adult companions. Reservations are required.
