All Tickets $19.66 to Opening Night of SPAC’s 50th Anniversary Season

The Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) announced on Thursday that all tickets to opening night of the 2016 50th Anniversary Season will cost $19.66 in tribute to SPAC’s inaugural year, 1966. The Friday, June 17th 8PM performance by the esteemed modern dance company Doug Varone and Dancers, known for emotionally expressive performances, will offer a fittingly poignant kick-off to the milestone season. Prior to the performance, guests are invited to help SPAC salute five decades of world-class music and dance with a complimentary audience-wide champagne toast. About Doug Varone and Dancers:
As part of a historic partnership with Skidmore College, SPAC will present critically-acclaimed Doug Varone and Dancers modern dance company to kick-off the 2016 season. Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2016, the company resides at the 92nd Street Y in New York City and has performed on all of the major stages and festivals across the country, as well as in Europe, Asia, Canada, and South America. Choreographer and Founder Doug Varone has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, an OBIE Award, two individual Bessie Awards, two American Dance Festival Doris Duke Awards for New York, and four National Dance Project Awards. He is a director and choreographer of Broadway and opera productions, including The Metropolitan Opera’s Salome and An American Tragedy. Varone will bring three of his most popular works to the SPAC stage: Castles, Strict Love, and Lux.
