Enjoy this 15th Annual Maple in April Festival this Saturday and Sunday, April 29th and 30th on Rockwell Street in Hadley, 8AM to 4PM. There is so much to do that there is something for all ages.
The street is lined with tents of 50+ artisans displaying their handmade glassware, jewelry, soap, quilts, framed art work and more. Plus a Farmers' Market and Food Vendors include maple syrup, maple cotton candy, hot dogs, sausage & peppers, blooming onions, ice cream and fried apple slices, and breakfast both Saturday and Sunday.
There will also be kid-friendly activities, including bounce-houses, face painting, games, a coloring contest, farm pets and pony rides. Car buffs are encouraged to dust-off their lil' sugar and drive her to the Lil’ Sugar Car & Truck show at the Smead Memorial Park.
The ever popular Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, Pony Rides and Train rides are back. Horse drawn wagon rides will take you from the parking lot to the festivities along Rockwell St. Pony rides from Adirondack Dreamcatcher Farm will be offered for children. Or Board the Saratoga & North Creek Railway at the Hadley/Luzerne Station, 4113 Rockwell Street at 11am or 1 pm for a round trip ride to the Thurman Station and then back across the trestle over the Sacandaga River.
