MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE
The Membership Committee recruits new members during the entire year by self-prospecting and following up on leads provided by the Chamber. Each committee member is expected to attend monthly committee meetings. No meetings are held in July or August. You must attend the meetings to get the leads from the Chamber. Individual and team sales goals must be met to remain on the committee. A committee member must participate as a team captain in the annual Membership Blitz and attend all Blitz meetings including the Orientation in March, and Kick-off Breakfast and Report Session in May. If you are interested in more information, please contact Jeff Shinaman at jshinaman@saratoga.org.
HUMAN RESOURCES COUNCIL
The council is a group of human resource professionals from member companies with 100+ employees. They meet in the Chamber offices on the second Wednesday of every other month from 8 to 9 a.m. for an informal roundtable discussion on the problems or issues they are facing, to brainstorm solutions and to share information. The council also conducts the annual Wage/Benefit Survey. For more information, contact Greg Dixon at gdixon@saratoga.org or 584-3255.
CHAMBER LEADS GROUP
The leads group is an opportunity to learn about other businesses in the area that might need products and services you offer. It’s designed for salespeople in non-competing categories that do outside sales, those that are going on sales appointments regularly or have other means to develop leads. They meet twice a month on the first and third Tuesday, 8-9am at the Country Corner Café at 165 High Rock Avenue. Regular attendance is required. Each person brings a minimum of 3 good leads and enough copies for everyone. The leads should be information on businesses that the rest of the group may not know about. Good leads might include information about a new business coming to the area, new construction, a business that is moving or expanding or being sold, new key personnel changes, etc. Direct referrals are encouraged. There is no fee to be involved on the Chamber Leads Group. Individuals can order coffee or breakfast and pay their own check. For more information, please contact Jeff Shinaman jshinaman@saratoga.org or 584-3255.
