Participants are encouraged to bring in examples of some of their current marketing materials if available or examples of marketing they think works to build the discussion of the group.

Who is Lorraine Ferguson?

Lorraine Ferguson is the President of Direct Impact Associates, LLC, and the Sandler Authorized Licensee for the Tech Valley.  She has over 20 years experience in the Capital Region/Tech Valley and nationally as an executive managing sales, marketing, operations and technical personnel at the corporate, regional and branch level for start-up, franchise, Fortune 500 and private equity companies in the technology industry.  Prior to bringing the globally recognized Sandler Sales programs to this region, she was the CEO of a regional technology education company and Vice President of Education Services for IKON Office Solutions, a $65 million division.  Previously Lorraine was a member of a management team for a start-up technology company, where she launched the Eastern New York market that contributed $5 million in annual revenues prior to acquisition.

Some of her key business strengths include recruiting, motivating and retaining effective teams, sales training and management, customer relations and business development, communications, team leadership, and organizational strategic planning.  Lorraine has an enterprising management style with a record for building a business and retaining highly engaged employees in a fast-paced competitive environment.

Successful in accelerating growth through strategic leadership, Lorraine knows firsthand the value of a sales training approach that follows a lifelong learning philosophy of ongoing reinforcement of the behaviors, attitudes and techniques.  She is passionate about helping companies and organizations grow their business and helping to make the Tech Valley region a reality through effective sales and management practices.

Who is Bruce Sowalski?

Bruce is a business strategist with Direct Impact Associates.  He helps companies envision a success path and develop plans to achieve it.  His services include strategic planning, business roadmaps, and the development of integrated marketing, public relations and community relations campaigns.

A communications professional, Bruce has worked in wireless telecommunications with Sprint and Independent Wireless One, in public relations with Strategy Associates, a Silicon Valley PR firm, and in Media with a FOX television station.  Bruce is working with a variety of Tech Valley companies on improving their business performance.
