Who is David Wickerham?

David Wickerham has been the Saratoga County Administrator since 1984.  Having been the youngest County Administrator in the State at his appointment, he has now become one of the most senior County Administrators in the State.  He has been involved in County Government since 1977 and was the appointed as the County’s first Personnel Director in 1979. He is a 1969 graduate of St. Louis University and served for more than 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and the Air Force Reserve, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1992.

David serves on the Board of Directors of several local agencies, including the Saratoga Economic Development Corporation and Saratoga Bridges (formerly Saratoga ARC). He is a member of the Concerned Citizens for Saratoga Racing and is also a former Board Member of the Wilton Wildlife and Nature Preserve, the Capital District Regional Planning Commission, the Leadership Saratoga Advisory Board, the Saratoga Springs Zoning Board, and the 1983 Saratoga Springs Charter Revision Commission.

He is a long time resident of Saratoga County and has resided in the Town of Wilton with his wife Elizabeth since 1986.

Who is William Peck?

Bill Peck is the Supervisor from the Town of Northumberland and the current Chairman of the Saratoga County Board of Supervisors.  Bill has served on many of the committees at the County level since taking office in 2004 and in 2009 chaired the Law and Finance committee leading to his current role as Chairman of the Board.

 Bill is also a sixth generation dairy farmer located in the Town of Northumberland.  Bill is in partnership with his brother Neil and father William in what is known as Welcome Stock Farm.  They currently milk 550 mature registered Holsteins with an equal number of young stock focusing not only on the sale of fluid milk but also the marketing of high genetic stock including bulls and embryos to cooperatives and breeders around the world.  The farm also includes the crop production of 1300 acres.

 Bill’s educational background includes degrees from Schuylerville Central School in 1987, Cornell University in 1991 and Albany Law School in 1999.  Bill is a licensed non-practicing attorney.  His past work experience includes the United States Senate as a Legislative Assistant for Senator James Jeffords of Vermont, Minority Leader’s Office for the NYS Assembly, Lawyer for the firm of Young, Sommer located in Albany and Saratoga Springs, General Electric Power Systems’ Environment, Health and Safety Legal Department as well as managing the family dairy operation.

 Bill is a firm believer in public service not only demonstrated by his current position as Supervisor but also with the various positions he has held in the past on boards such as Saratoga Hospital, Economic Opportunity Council, Empire Zone Administrative Board, Farmland Protection Board and many others.

Bill is married to Amy Peterson Peck the former five time Olympic Speed Skater.

They have two boys, Hansen (2) and Hudson (1) residing at the farm on West River Road in the Town of Northumberland.
