Leadership Saratoga Alumni are some of Saratoga County's greatest resources. Participants in this countywide program have been identified as having leadership drive, motivation and commitment to their community. The seven-month series of sessions provides them with education, information and opportunities for interaction among themselves and with other community leaders.
Programs include: Leadership styles and skills learned at an outdoor adventure, presentation making, fund raising, running effective meetings, ethics, working as a team; as well as critical issues in human services, government, economic development, education, the arts, tourism and history.
Currently, graduates serve on the Boards of Directors of 135 non-profit organizations from Corinth to Clifton Park. Over 50 graduates have been elected to local Boards of Education, town boards, City Councils, the County Board of Supervisors, the County Planning Board, and political parties’ committees. Ten have been hired in politically appointed positions.
The Leadership Saratoga Alumni Association was organized by the graduates of the program in order to continue their affiliations and community education and to provide an impetus to further community involvement. This directory has been produced as a resource for those of you seeking individuals to work with and in community groups.
