Come Catch Curlin At Saratoga Race Course In Saratoga Springs, New York
This Labor Day weekend, visitors to Saratoga Springs will be able to catch the 2007 Horse of the Year in action at the Saratoga meet, plus take advantage of a great Curlin-themed getaway package and other final weekend festivities.
The reigning Horse of the Year Curlin has never raced at historic Saratoga Race Course before. Curlin has been spending his summer training days in Saratoga on the Oklahoma training track and will make his Saratoga debut in the Grade 1, $500,000 Woodward Stakes Race, back on the dirt, Saturday, August 30, 2008. Arguably the best horse in racing, Curlin will undoubtedly be the highlight of Saratoga’s biggest Final Stretch weekend ever, but there is so much more in store to conclude the Saratoga meet.
Saratoga’s Final Stretch Festival will start Friday, August 29th with Sunset Racing’s first post time at 2:45 p.m. and continue through Labor Day, Monday, September 1st. This weekend long event will feature live music in Downtown Saratoga Springs on Saturday and Sunday night. The Family Fun Fest will take place on Sunday, with a Saratoga cooler bag giveaway, carnival games and pony rides. Labor Day is Fan Appreciation Day with free admission and an All-American BBQ.
