Holiday Season In Full Swing In Saratoga, New York
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Saratoga’s Holiday Season is in full swing. Visitors can catch the holiday spirit, finish their shopping and find fun things for the whole family to do.
There are over a dozen museums to choose from, including the Saratoga Automobile Museum for car lovers and the Children’s Museum with great activities for the little ones. Or take the kids on a magical ride through the frosty pines in Saratoga Spa State Park after a fresh snowfall. For more family activities, visit www.saratoga.org.
There are even still horses racing in Saratoga. Visitors can watch live harness racing Thursday through Saturday at Saratoga Gaming & Raceway, from the grandstands or through the windows of Fortunes Restaurant. Visitors can hear sounds of the season with The McKrell’s at “A Saratoga Christmas” in the Spa Little Theater, December 8 th, 2007. Concert begins at 7:30pm and admission is $15. Visitors can also see Epiphany Theater’s presentation of a version of Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol”, which is guaranteed to be like no other. The National Museum of Dance and Hall of Fame presents the beautiful and rarely-produced piece of art, “Christmas Oratorio.” The nativity story told through modern dance, choreographed by Charles Weidman to music by J.S. Bach. Performances are December 15 th and 16 th, 2007, at 2pm & 7pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Admission is $10 per person.
