Holiday Season In Full Swing In Saratoga, New York
 
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Saratoga’s Holiday Season is in full swing. Visitors can catch the holiday spirit, finish their shopping and find fun things for the whole family to do. 
 
There are over a dozen museums to choose from, including the Saratoga Automobile Museum for car lovers and the Children’s Museum with great activities for the little ones. Or take the kids on a magical ride through the frosty pines in Saratoga Spa State Park after a fresh snowfall. For more family activities, visit www.saratoga.org.
 
There are even still horses racing in Saratoga. Visitors can watch live harness racing Thursday through Saturday at Saratoga Gaming & Raceway, from the grandstands or through the windows of Fortunes Restaurant. Plus the venue features over 1,700 state-of-the-art video gaming machines and live entertainment at their new night club, Vapor. For more information, call 518-584-2110 or visit www.saratogagamingandraceway.com.
 
Visitors can hear sounds of the season with The McKrell’s at “A Saratoga Christmas” in the Spa Little Theater, December 8th, 2007. Concert begins at 7:30pm and admission is $15. For more information, call 518-587-4427 or visit www.homemadetheater.org. Then for a little poetry and song, join the Saratoga Chamber Players December 9th, 2007 at 3:00pm in the United Methodist Church. For more information, call 518-584-6523 or visit www.saratogachamberplayers.org. Visitors can also enjoy a Classic Country Concert with Grand Ole Opry star Bill Anderson and the Po Folks Band. Kevin Richard, CMA Broadcast winner, hosts the event at the Saratoga Music Hall, December 16th, 2007 at 2:30pm and 6:00pm. Plus, there will be a Country trivia game show and line dancing performance prior to the concert. For more information, call 518-506-4809 or visit www.kevinrichards.com.
 
Love the Theater? You’ll love Saratoga this winter. Check out a Hans Christian Anderson Classic, “The Snow Queen” by HMT at the Spa Little Theater. Go on a magical adventure through forests, castles and dungeons as Gerta bravely travels to rescue her friend from the wicked Snow Queen. Showings December 7th through December 16th, 2007. For more information, visit www.homemadetheater.org or call 518-587-4427.
 
Visitors can also see Epiphany Theater’s presentation of a version of Charles Dicken’s “A Christmas Carol”, which is guaranteed to be like no other. Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley, Bob Cratchitt, Tiny Tim, three ghosts, and more—all played by only two actors! The show runs December 12th through 30th, 2007. For more information, call 518-584-4666 or visit www.epiphanytheater.org/saratoga.
 
The National Museum of Dance and Hall of Fame presents the beautiful and rarely-produced piece of art, “Christmas Oratorio.” The nativity story told through modern dance, choreographed by Charles Weidman to music by J.S.
