No, it’s not a racetrack or even mineral springs; its polo fields. Established in 1898, Whitney Field has hosted generations of horses, players and spectators. Join them in the clubhouse and terrace to dine and watch the excitement, or set up your own picnic along the sidelines. Cheer on your favorite team as two players engage in a thrilling ride-off. Wander out onto the field at halftime to meet your fellow spectators and replace divots.   Enjoy a Saratoga summer evening in style, and relax as the game progresses into twilight.  

 

Polo is played every Friday and Sunday Evenings at 5:30 pm

·          Get there early to tailgate:  Cookout with friends under blue skies and ready for the excitement of the game. You’re going to need all your energy to encourage your favorite team.

·          Take the field at halftime: In a time honored tradition, spectators descend on the field during halftime to replace divots. This is the perfect time to meet new friends, discuss the game, and ask questions of the officials. Broaden your polo knowledge!

·          Pick up a program: With terms like “chukker” and “hook” it’s easy to get lost when conversing with new friends at halftime. Pick up a program and instantly sound like you grew up on a polo field. 

·          Kid and Pet Friendly: This outdoor venue allows for room to roam around. Bring the kids along for a fun activity and include the dog. Just make sure the kids are always nearby and pets are leashed for their safety. 

·          Outdoor Venue: The summer weather can be very sunny. Show off your favorite hat, or apply sunblock to ensure you have a great experience at Saratoga Polo.
