Victorian Streetwalk
Re-live Saratoga's gilded age, in this fun event that takes place in downtown Saratoga Springs on Thursday, December 3, 2009. Enjoy music, magic, choral performances, Victorian period costumes, live reindeer and even a vist from Santa Claus. This event is free and open to the public. Saratoga Culinary At Its Best

First Night - Saratoga Springs

It’s Chowder Time!
People come from near and far to experience Saratoga’s Chowderfest. A Winterfest event, the 11th Annual Chowderfest will be held February 6th, 2010 at local Saratoga restaurants and establishments from 11am to 4pm. It is a great way to get the whole family out on a cold winter day. With over 30 places to pick from, taste test different chowders or soups for $1 each, vote for your favorite, turn in your ballot plus $7 and get a souvenir longsleeve t-shirt. Celebrate Winter—Family Style
Saratoga has the perfect weekend getaway for the whole family. Winterfest 2010 is packed full of fun with great indoor and outdoor activities including Chowderfest. From wine tasting to ice skating, this festival has it all. Everyone can enjoy the hot chowder, art exhibits, craft show, candlelight ski and snowshoe, and ice skating. Nature’s Park
Saratoga County is home to state parks for winter activities galore. Snowshoeing and cross country skiing opportunities are plentiful. Don’t worry if you don’t have the gear. You can rent equipment at some of the parks or at our local ski shop. The Saratoga Spa State Park is great for both, with trails all through the park. Plus, there is a rustic warming hut to start your adventure or relax and warm up after you’re done. To learn more visit www.saratogaspastatepark.org. Moreau Lake State Park has great trails through the woods for shoes or skis. If you don’t want to do the trails, you can stay on the flat and go around on the small lake. You can also visit the Snowshoe Capital of the World in Corinth and head out on the National Snowshoe Trails or you can check out one of the many nature preserves in the area. Of course, if you’re into snowmobiling, ice fishing or just building a snowman, there’s plenty of that too.
Put on Your Party Hat
Get ready to celebrate at Hattie's 9th Annual Mardi Gras Party in Saratoga Springs which features Hattie's famous authentic Creole and Southern cuisine. The thematic event, dubbed “Masquerade Soiree” will be held at the Canfield Casino January 16th, 2010 and benefits the local YMCA. It’s a Frosty Affair
The Saratoga National Historical Park, also known as the Saratoga Battlefield, allows you to enjoy an important point in American History as you experience the great outdoors snowshoeing or skiing through the open battlefields and woods. When you finish your journey, walk through the museum and gift shop at the visitor center. Join them for their 14th Annual Frost Faire, January 23, 2010. Escape from the Indoors
Visitors can find the cure for their cabin fever in Saratoga. The Saratoga National Historical Park has its Cabin Fever Escape, a Special National Park programs for kids and Adults. "Armchair tours" of Hawaii, the Grand Canyon and more. Come explore these parks on February 14, 21 and 28, 2010, from 1:30pm to 3:00pm at the battlefield. It is a free event for all. Are those Flurries?
Dancers and music lovers of all ages don’t want to miss this. An entire weekend of dancing, performances, workshops, concerts, crafts and so much more, make up the 23rd Annual Dance Flurry Festival in Saratoga. Over 600 performers in eight venues, equals over 200 events in three days. From Contra to Swing, Salsa to Clogging, Old-time American to Latin music this festival has it all.
